ID Number
Each project receives a unique Expedition ID and PIN (Personal Identification Number) which identifies your project with ExpeditionQuest when using the VENUS (Voice Energized News Update System) to add audio content and news to your site via cell or satphone.

You may select up to five appropriate categories.
Seeking Additional Funding?
If you select yes your project will be included in the database of projects which are seeking support. You may limit which students and educators can contact you.

to your own website
When you register your project, you automatically create a spot on EQ's ExpeditionChannel where your information is formatted and presented in our directory. There is also a link to your existing website if you have one. You can manage information here in addition to or in lieu of having your own website.
Editing
the Details page
The information you enter here is stored in a series of databases which enable schools to connect with your project, allow EQ members to vote on your project, and presents basic information and a description of the expedition to search engines. You might consider obtaining a generic email address (such as @yahoo.com, or @hotmail.com) if you are concerned with privacy issues or excessive traffic on your regular email account.
Adding/Editing/Deleting
News
Use this form to update the news for your expedition. Articles appear in sequence with most recent news being listed first. Photos can also be added to accompany text.Uploading video, photographs, audio and slide shows to your media gallery, you can create an unlimited number of galleries.
Uploading Video, Photographs and Slide shows
To upload media, simply create a media gallery and follow the prompts to select files from your local computer to upload. Please note that in addition to YouTube Inbed code, EQ currently accepts the following kinds of files - jpg, gif, png, wav, mp3, avi, rm.

You can download our custom program which will enable you to upload many photos at once to your EQ site.
Managing
Polls and Questionaires
You can create any number of questions to present to students or others in several formats. Some projects even use polling to engage students in making decisions regarding the expedition, routes, etc.

your Itinerary on the Calender
Simply designate a heading/title which will appear as a link on the calendar and then include full text in the form.
Adding
Bookmarks and Links
This enables your project to link to other appropriate websites on the internet, sponsors, educational resources, team member bios, etc.
Managing
Discussion Groups
You can also create a discussion group for your expedition where EQ members can post comments and questions and share information.
Posting
Maps & Charts
Designate location using Google Earth or link to maps on the internet which are relevant to your project.
Mailing
List
EQ members can sign up for expedition updates for your project. You can send occasional updates from the field, seek financial support, invite members to events, etc.
